Many others find out about the prior accident and subsequent damage once they need a repair or try to resell the vehicle and realize that it isn’t worth nearly as much as it should be because of the problem with the car frame. There are good reasons why the dealership doesn’t tell customers about frame damage – most importantly because it decreases the value of the car dramatically. They then take the car to their trusted mechanic or body shop, which does an inspection to determine if it has previously been in an accident, which resulted in frame damage. Many times the new owner is kept in the dark about the problem on the car’s title until they start having other issues, such as transmission or motor issues.
